I have a Dynamite Power Pulse esc and was wondering if I could put a really hot motor on it. the esc says it can handle down to 13 turns but I was thinking 12T for my car. what kind of effects will this have on the motor/esc? will the motor not be able to draw the amps it needs? or will my esc melt(not likely, but worth asking)?
-thanks

with ESCs you should always use a motor 2 turns over the limit for best performance and so you don't ruin your speed control

Yes, a 12Turn will melt your esc. You can ask a friend. It melted his Novak SUper Rooster. A 13Turn will really heat up the esc. ALways use 2 Turns above the limit for teh safe sake. a 15T would be good such as a Trinity D4 15T Double, or a Trinity Speed Gem 2 Ruby 16T Triple Motor . i

Steveb3:
Please explain the scenario in which you melted the Super Rooster. I'd like to hear that one.
