ok, so what if i have a rc10gt,t-maxx,bluestreak gp boat, and street force gp
i recently watched stock class racing in denver co. and i was blown away by how much fun it was,so i ran over to the lhs and purchased tc3, p2k, spike esc, and some batteries.
the car went together easy enough its just the esc i'm having trouble with it came with plugs to hook it to the motor, but how do they hook up. i thought about cutting the plugs off and souldering the wires on the motor but duratrax would not waranty(if i could spell)the esc if i did.
so how about some pointers to go about it
after you stop laughing that is thanks
 :o :)

Hey dude... no one's laughin at you ;) it's great you decided to take up electric RC... ok, now for your esc... hmm i would have steered clear of that duratrax spike, but since you got one... as for pluggin it in, it's easy... you only have two kinds, one is a male tamiya style (wires should be black w/white & red)those go to the battery, the second is the bullet type (yellow and blue)those go th the motor... now since you dont have any wires for your motor, pick up a pair of trinity's no solder tabs... but if i were you, i'd pick up a decent esc like LRP or Novak... :D

HEY! did you go to MHOR??? That place is awesome! The guys there are so cool, this guy let me have some parts for my truck and use his batteries in my last qual. run and in my main. Another guy almost gave me a free servo but I bought one before he offered...

Just read the rest of your post, you probably could get some male connecters to go to the bullets and solder those wires to your motor, My motor came with the wires and for a while I ran it with these electric wire tabs that were in the garage, but when you solder it you get improved run time and punch, it is some noticeable punch too. And no one is laughing, we all have been there at one time or another.

Like TA03 said your probably going to wind up with a "higher quality" ESC anyways but that your Spike (I have never heard of it...") will/should be functional in the meantime. If your so worried about the warranty, DONT BE!. If your save the plugs you can always throw them back on... I mean... you catch my drift...
