hello there!

I'm probably going to get an evader st pro in about a month, and I was wondering if there are and low-cost items I need to pick up with it to make it a better basher. I'm not looking at going brushless either. :)

also, i've read that the motor that comes with it is crap. should I replace it?

thanks in advance

Pretty much all RTR motors are crap, that's common knowledge!

yup what he said replace it with something like this:

that is a really nice stock motor and for bashing will give u some decent rip.

You may want to consider getting a more powerful motor, since the ST's ESC can handle down to 12 turns. (Lower, if geared right!)

you DONT want a stock motor for bashing.five to 7 runs and performance will go down trust me
something like this.both faster than stock and 19 turn chameleon pros

i prefer these because the technology makes the com and brushes last longer

the evader pro is all it can be from the box compared to the lower version.you should also buy another spur gear and a pinion gear set

The Sprint ESC IS crap, but this is the Pro version, which includes a not-so-bad Intellispeed 12T.

make sure to buy extra transsmission cases , idlers, and diff gears. I was running evrything stock except for gp3300s and my gear box and parts were broken an bald.

I think the run what you have idea is awesome. The place greatplumber runs is a run what you have track. Its really alot of fun you dont have to worry about having the correct gear.Amazingly enough while there may be a wide range of motors on the track in a heat the pack is not normally spaced too far apart at the end.
