Removing Anodized Finish???

I know someone asked this before and I searched for it and even went through each page but I couldn't find it....
Is there any way to remove the colored finish from anodized aluminum parts?? I'd rather my parts be the original aluminum silver than purple or blue.
I've heard that oven cleaner works... kind of. I guess it leaves little pock marks all over the part?
Is there another way???
