I recently picked up a used Kyosho Jetstream gp boat at a garage sale for 10 bucks (for my 7 year old son to tinker with). The seller told me that the last time he had the boat running was about a year ago. It needs a new pull start (?). I have done a little research on the net, with not much luck for an old boat. Does anyone know whether or not this part can be replaced or fixed? And if so, where can I find info on it?
Any help would be appreciated, I am a newbie at this.

Thanks for the kyosho website link. I had no luck in finding the part from the kyosho website or from my local hobby shop.
I removed the broken part, bought a book on how to replace the pull start, but can't seem to find the right shape or size replacement part (local hobby shop doesn't carry it).
Suggestions anyone?

I know that we often rely on the Internet for finding parts, but did you try the phone number provided? Sometimes taling to a person is more productive, particularly for obsolete parts. ;)

if all else fails, maybe a tiger drive would solve the problem.

Yeah, your right about our reliance on the internet. I'm gonna call. (The hobby shop suggested the same thing).

Is your Jetstreem has orijinal OS .10 FP-M or one like Kyosho GS 15? If it's the GS series I can provide thier parts NO.

I have an original OS .10 FP-M. I have been able to obtain some of the manuals. One for putting the boat together, and one for the motor. However, I cannot find a part number for the recoil starter (The spring is missing).

As I am a Japanese, I checked Japanese original Kyosyo site and O.S. site for discontinued parts. Unfortunately I could not see that particular engine there. Sorry :o

Thank you for trying!! The company has been very helpful. I have to give them a call again to see if there is anything they can do.
Thanks again!
