This is actually part of the Pro-Line Maxx Challenge coverage thread, but I thought it deserved its own thread. Good lookin' truck, CEN! --Pete

CEN had the latest version of the venerable Genesis monster truck on display in their pit area. The new GST 4.6 is a leaner, meaner Genesis that’s powered by a CEN 4.6cc (.28ci) pull-start engine. The new power mill is much lighter than the 7.7 (.46ci) engines that power the Genesis and Nemesis trucks and it has a lighter aluminum manifold and tuned pipe. It also has 4 shocks instead of 10, a lighter 2-speed tranny, large diameter plastic universal slider shafts, 23mm hubs and standard Maxx-size wheels and tires instead of the behemoths that come with the Genesis and Nemesis. According to CEN, the truck is nearly 5 pounds lighter, which makes it quicker and more responsive on the track. The truck shown here is a prototype; the production truck will have a green-anodized-aluminum chassis, cooling head and arm braces along with other finishing touches.

I like the Genesis, but they have too many versions of this truck and in such a small timeframe.

Hmmm I wonder why they dropped the engine size, can't be that much weight in just the motor.

they dropped it becuase roar rules limit motor size to 28, so if a race uses strict roar rules, the stock 46 isn't legal,

I agree, but the good thing is all the parts are interchangeable.

So now it only weighs 11 pounds, still heavy if you ask me.

Thats nice, I like the single shock set-up, and am not a BIG fan of the flashy bumper.
Its still a sick truck. I think I am going to get one instead of the Jato 3.3

One hell of a race truck IMO, Center diff,.28 power, nice long chassis and zero offset wheels should make for good handling.

LOL... Yea leave the flashy bumper for the basher....

I will always take function over fashion, but that bumper is just plain ummm OUTSTANDING to say the least.....

with that said....

Looks like a decent truck.... could be a contender

I wouldn't mind adding the wing to my genesis

The bumper and the crappy paint makes it look unhobby grade but it looks cool wonder if they are going to send the nemesis on a diet?

I agree, the paint looks photo shopped. The bumbers are just ugly, not a big fan of chrome/shiney.
It is a pretty sick truck.
When is it coming out?

what wheels and tires are used on this GST 4.6, couldnt you just remove 4 of the shocks to and swap wheel/tires. That would be pretty close to that set up, right.

Nope, Theres allot more there than just removing six shocks and using small wheels and tires.I imagine gearing will be allot diffrent with the smaller tires and an engine that actually can produce some rpm.The driveshafts are of a revo design from what I understand as well.
