How should I charge for the race, I run 3 heats, then the main. I charged all the batts right before the first heat, on two Millenniums.(1900 and 2400) Then I threw them back on the charger right before the race, to let it peak a little. Am I doing it right?
All my batteries were cool before I ran, I was later told that they run a lil better if they are a little warm from a fresh charge. A guy also said he raises his volt threshhold so the batteries are a little more warm after a charge, but he would not tell me what threshold to use, lol. Anyone go over 12per cell on the Millennium?? What should I use?

If I have the batts charged, would it hurt to throw it on the bulb discharger for about 20 seconds, which would warm up the battery, and then peak it real quick? Or would this hurt the battery?

Cut it off when it gets dim.

Don't discharge then peak before a race. Just give them a good peak at like 6 amps or so just before putting it down on the track. The battery is warmer for others because they are charging at a higher rate, or at least that is my guess. although you can use a higher delta for the peak detect. Try making you current delta 50% higher when peaking.

You will notice a real difference in the first lap or so when peaking at a high amp just before the race, and it will be better throughout the race. Since you are peaking now before the race, you might not feel the difference, but it will be there.

in summary, just charge at a higher rate when peaking the batts.
