I don't want to buy a FT because there's thiers a lot of blue stuff on it that won't make me any faster. Stampede15@hotmail.com
Titanium turnbuckles are quite worth to invest.

i would save for the ft and if you dont want the blue stuff sell it all the parts on it and buy the stock stuff and have some xtra cash but i guess i would buy ti nniride shock shafts and some graphite stuff but all thats on the ft its worth it buy the ft you know you want too

I agree, while the blue screws & battery hold-down are not really neccessary, I think everything else included in the FT TC3 is definitely worth buying, so it is still the better deal. However, if you're really strapped for cash, then its ok to get a Racer kit now, & just buy the hop-ups one at a time as you can afford it(the Racer is still very competitive right out of the box, just buy some different shock springs & the optional rear suspension arm mounts that alter the rear toe angle, & the proper tires for your local track, & you'll be set).... :)

Upgrades that are worth it for the RACER version:
1. Ft Molded Graphite chasis
2. Lightened Molded Diffs
3. I dont really think ti rods are that important but if your new and crash a lot the extra durability will be helpfull

Get the ti-turnbuckles, molded diffs, blue CVD's, and maybe the blue shocks. I also have graphite everything. I would get the team because it's only about 50$ more and you get all the cool stuff.

oh yeah, and my cousin had a problem with his molded outdrives. He gave his car full throttle and it shattered his outdrives. I didn't think this was possible. He is only running a Green Machine 3 Pro. It is geared 28/72, I think. Has this happened to anyone else?

The FT comes with the lightweight outdrives. Use the composite axles. They are a lot lighter than the blue cvd's

TC3Racer316-- you dont need the blue cvds the composite ones are very durable and actully lighter than the alum. which means less rotating mass and thats what u want to be as light as possible for faster acceleration ect.

Forget about the alluminum cvd's. Ive bent both my front one's and since replaced them with composite. lighter=faster less alluminum = cheaper.

Indeed, the composite CVD's are plenty tough & light, & most importantly, are only about $10 for 4 of them, while the blue aluminum ones cost about $20 for 2 of them. Trust me, it adds up.... :)

as of yesterday, i found out threaded shocks are one of the best hop-ups for the tc3!
-but- that will make you invest even a little more because you may need a ride height gauge for precise adjustments of ride height....

trinity gas conversion kit
:D :D :D
which will run about 80-90 bucks
but out excelerate all other TC3 with pure mucsle power of nitro base fuel hehehe. while other rely on pony power electrics :D
and you be cool
ok boo boo I see just want really bady boy machine :)
I would avoid the light outdrive after that exloding statement I mean this guy was running a stock motor imaging what a modified motor will do.
FT car comes with some good option parts
I mean you sell off the stuff you dont want and put on TC3 what you feel suitable for your needs. It your car you should do what make you feel more confortable.
