I am just curious as to what people would choose.
I am looking to get either a Jato 3.3, 5B Baja or a FG Marder. The Jato and Baja would be new but the Marder would be used. I do have a bunch of 1/10 scale cars and trucks but, I love the speed of the Jato. I never had a 1/5 scale ever, and am just overwhelmed by the size and they just look cool. Are the 1/5 gas Marder and Baja a little less maintenance compared to the 1/10 Nitro. Plus side to the 1/5 is run time, maintenance and ease of use. They will be bashers, if that matters. I am just having a hard time figuring out what I should choose. I like the Marder, it seems to have more parts available and seems to be a bit faster. What kind of motor does the Marder have? Sorry for blabbing, any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

If this is one of your only chances to get a Marder, Id go for that.

Atleast you wont have to worry about breaking it in, or feel bad about modifying a brand new car. In case things were'nt assembled right or for your style.

The new Jato would get my pick. Hands down.

fifiracing,
I am leaning more towards the Jato as well. I think the cost/performance equalls out more than the larger scale cars. Still thinking though:)

larger scale: more maintenance. Its all personal preference.

im asuming that you have a place to run the 1/5 so the marder gets my vote. i wanted a 1/5 after seeing the movies on the hpi site. 1/5 is insane. plus gass is cheaper than nitro fule and the 1/5 cars dont break as often.
