I picked up my airbrush again a few months ago and this is the first that I feel I can show to the outside world. Please be critical about the paint and the photography (Im learning the ins and outs of a new camera and dont have all the settings down yet.)

Glad to see you paint something and post it. Since you've asked for a critique....

The light blue M on the very front (below the main graphic) would have looked better if it curved up sharper and closer to the edge of the white/blue graphic. The red is an awesome color and looks great against the black. However, I think you over did the black a bit. I would have liked to see more red in there to really bring out the swooshy graphic things. Beautiful headlights, grill, and window trim. Awesome work and great design! Looks fast just sitting there.

Thanks guys.

Piggy, I agree the black is far to heavy. I used to do a lot of 3D shadows, but for this I wanted just a general darker red to give the back half some texture and I got a little out of hand. Ill try to do less next time.

I think my next will be a "Splat" style. I miss doing those. (for those who dont know what it is your going to have to wait and see... :)

Agreed with Jato. Mab_man has been a long time paint guru on this board. Step up and post what you like most about his paint work, if you don't want to be critical. Mab has pretty thick skin and is a great guy to have around.

BTW, nice choice on the pinstrips, I like the chrome for those color choices. You could have turned the black from more of a shadow color to more background by freehanding some fat dagger strokes slightly off from the angle of the graphic. It still would have given you your 3D effect but tied the red and black in more. I would make the background look like fluid roiling. I still dig the hell out of that paintjob. Awesome way to make a comeback into airbrushing.

Excellent job here! I love the extra details such as the barbs running into the windshield and the rounded corners on the window moldings. Great lights and color choices, too. Overall, it's very creative.
