This is just a general question. Ive seen many Hot Bodies Cyclones for sale that have HPI Pro4 parts on them or accesories included w/ them. Is there something between the companies or are the cars just similar enough to have the same stuff. Thanks!!

HPI & Hot Bodies. Same company, same offices in California.

Not a secret.

re: 'Not a secret'

Wasn't 'smart' in the sarcastic sense of the word.

Some companies operate under different names and would rather you not know. Therefore, drawing the distinction that it is not a secret is helpful and informative.

For example, if visiting a show, and you need to find Hot Bodies info, you might need to travel no further than the HPI booth.

Im sorry about the mistake. I was in a bad mood earlier, thanks for the info again. Im from NJ also, do you race anywhere, or know of any good tracks besides Jackson (is you know them) for on-road.

Anyways, the Cyclone uses the same shocks and suspension as the Pro4. However, dogbones may be a tad shorter. So HotBodies sells the bones for the Cyclone. If you go to SpeedtechRC.com or StormerHobbies, they both carry parts for the Cyclone (stateside). Otherwise you would have to order from Japan or Hong Kong. It's a great car. Very simple. Setups are very similiar from track to track. So the car is well thought out and balanced. If you were to get one.. buy a Surikarn or Hara version. They come with everything you need minus a spring kit. It's well worth it. If you have any questions about it.. Just ask. I just switched over from a 415MSX....

I'm in South Jersey, and Zak's Hobbies in Vineland has on- and off-road tracks, and South Jersey Cost Controlled Racing is building one in Williamstown.

There are others, but I'm not part of any circuit.
