Tc3 advantages,
Shaft drive is great for off road use and has no belt's to foul.
Part support on associated models is great.
Come on, ITS AN ASSOCIATED. ;)
I would comment on the hpi, but have no experence with it.

I like my Yokomo, it comes with bushings which should be replaced from the start, it handles ok in dirt, the dirt shield works great and I have never fouled a belt or broken any parts in 2 years. The tires work great but one run on asphalt they are gone, and use a good screw driver since the screws stink and can strip easily.

My suggestion, don't rule out the HPI Rally. I've had one for over a year, and have raced it on full off-road tracks against trucks and buggies (both 2wd and 4wd). The Rally, if driven properly, can easily hang with and beat a 4wd mod buggy. I can usually out accelerate past Losi XX-4 running a 13t mod motor while I'm running a rally with 27t motor and CVDs. As for belt fouling. Haven't lost one. A sugestion though, is to replace the topshaft with a robinson racing one piece unit. The inner body on the HPI rally keeps alot of dirt out. And the hop-ups from the other RS4 line, fits on the rally. As far as durable goes... I've jumped this car over 6 feet high and 8-10ft in distance... NOT ONE BROKEN PART YET! :D
