I am thinking of getting the new HPI Micro RS4 and I need a new ESC for it. I was thinking of the LRP Quantum, but it may be overkill for such a little car as the kit motor will hardly strain it. I noticed Airtronics has a small ESC designed for these "micro" sized cars and it's forward/reverse. For $25 it's a good deal, but does anyone know if it has a brake? Thanks.

On HPI's board it has been said that it might not work because a guy on another board posted that he had one burn up in his Bud's Fun Won which is also an 1/18 car. The only thing is I think the Micro RS4 is going to come with a much smaller motor. You might want to ask this on HPI's board and if you are able to find out what size the motor (and optional motors) are going to be then you might want to ask Airtronic if that esc can take it.

I'll send Airtronics an e-mail. On Towerhobbies' web site, they posted the ES-01 as an ESC designed for the 1/18 cars including HPI's. I suppose I could go with a 1/10 ESC so as to avoid any problems with burning it out since the little motor is 60T. Thanks, guys.
