esc or radio?

alright, ive dealt with this problem for too long!!
i first turn on my radio, then i turn the car on, but the car has a little "burst" everytime i turn it on (my cyclone and atom) ive tried resetting the esc one touch setup but that doesnt seem to work
if anyone can help it would be great!!

I think sometimes thats normal. When you turn it on there might be a big surge off energy through the FETs which does that. I spoke to an electrician (who makes his own ESC's) and hesaid thats normal, it happens to me when I turn mine on or off. Have you got power capacitors on your esc and/or diodes? Power capacitor should help that.

yes, i alway use the power capacitors and frequently change them after several runs through battery packs on the esc's. the motor also has got capacitors and diodes

Yup, I've been using Novak's ESC's for a long time(around 10 years), & they've all done that, it's just something you have to live with...... http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hey I have the Atom and mine does the same thing. Atleast it isnt like a full throttle boost where it goes flying down the straight away. I have a fusion ESC also and it does the same thing. I just dont worry about it.
