Hey just want to know what you guys think about a Tekin 411 P2 and an LRP IPC SR? Are they still competetive?
Thanks.
I hear the SR is very punchy, good for superstock racing as apposed to a 7.1 wich gives a smoother power curve. Dont know about the tekin but you cant go wrong with lrp. And also think the SR are still available so they must be doing the job. And I suppose it all depends what kind of copetition you wanting to do. Some people spend 20 to 30 hours tuning a superstock motor and getting them to rev up to +- 40000 rpm, and when you at that level of racing then do I think every bit counts. But the average club racer does not need the very best, just gets too expensive to keep up with the pace of the competition. Back to the lrp SR whats also cool is that you can limit the current with the swithes included so that when you go the modified road the ESC can be set up to the track and the conditions.
Hope this helped you

They are both good esc's but aren't made any longer. The 411P2 was replaced by the 412 and G9 esc series now Tekin makes the 411GPro while LRP discontinued the SR with only the V7.1 as their competition esc.
I feel it all comes down to how good you can drive, how much more power you can get out of equipment as too how well you do. I've seen drivers do well competitively with older or mid level priced equipment. Even then you can be in the zone 2 laps ahead of the field only to have a back marker end you day.
