Don't waste your money! That was one of my first "real" RC cars and I didn't like it. It didn't handle very well at all. Save your money and get a B3 or a XXX. The Rustler however, is a HUGE step up. I owned 2 of those and regret selling them :/

do you mean the electric rustler? i don't want nitro caus ethere a pain in the *** to maintain. i wouldn't min a rustler but we don't race them here, buggies are what we race here and i'm looking for a reasonabley priced buggy. any reccomendations?

They are fine cars, not quite good for racing, but with a good driver, they will be fine, but still, if you plan on racing seriously, then you should pick up a racing buggy, such as the XXX or the B3, but, for playing around, the bandit is your best bet.

Also, because you are new, please do not swear, it is not a good way to start off here. Thanks

Even if you weren't PLANNING to race(I didn't ever think I'd be racing and I'm racing LOTS now!) I'd still recommend getting a B3 or a XXX. Lots more parts available and are probably more accessible than Bandit parts.

The bandit is basically a rustler with shorter arms. Check out your Hobby shop and see which one they have the most parts for. So if you break a part while racing you wont be done for the entire day(if you break a part cuz the Bandit is tough).

Actually, the lowest I've seen the Bandit for is $90, the cheapest B3 I've seen goes for $130 and that's for the basic buggy. For an extra $50 you can get the update version or for an extra $80 you can get the Factory Team ($210) and that's fully upgraded. The XXX is $200 and the Kinwald Edition is $40 more. You can buy the cheaper versions now, but if you're going to hop it up later, it'll end up costing you more. I would save up and get the better kits, it'll save you money later. Good luck!

I know someone that has a bandit and like it was previously stated, it didn't handle very well at all. After he drove my b3, he wished he had bought one instead. The bandit is a very durable car and can really take a thrashing, but you will have a hard time finding parts for it. Don't buy the b3 sport kit if you can help it. You said you were planning on hopping up, so get at least the b3 team version for about 165. The factory team has all the goodies, and is a better deal if you can afford it. The sport has three-piece wheels which are heavy. The tires that come with the kit are lame. It has a mechanical speedo(not worth its' weight in dog doodie). And the most critical difference in terms of performance is the sport kit has bushings throughout vs. ball bearings throughout in the team kits. If you buy the sport kit and hop up later, you will end up spending far more than if you just buy one of the team kits.

i'd love to but a team or factory b3 but i don't have the cash to buy the kit 300 cdn, a esc 120 cdn a radio 100 cdn and a motor 50 dn. what i can do however is buy the sport kit for 200 cdn and upgrade as i get the money. my question is the b3 sport better than the bandit?

ya the B3 is better than the bandit. the main reason why the bandit handles so bad is cuz te fromt tires are crappy. if u picked up some losi or AE fromt buggy tires and rims your set and you'll handle better. it has an MSC isntead of an ESC but you can find some nice reliable ESC's these days for around 40-60 bucks. if ur just gonna bash, go with the bandit, but if u wanna race or end up racing, go with the B3.
