I would checkout BOLINKS site and see what they offer for their Drag cars. They have been doing RC drag cars forever. I have been playing with RC since '86. By playing with RC I mean I do this as a hobby not a racer. I was NOT trying to say RC cars are play toys. That would be like saying a pellet rifle can't kill. I have one of those that does 1000ft per second. 22s do about 1500 ft per second by the way. Anyways www.bolink.com (http://www.bolink.com) is the link I think. Check the back couple of pages in RCCA and they have a list of manufactures and some post their web sites.

Nc-cads give you a lot of punch off the line. Stiffen your back shocks some and raise the rear ride height as high as it will go. You want a fairly small pinion for wheelies. If your drag racing though and want to win try to keep all four wheels on the ground, soften the rear suspension for better grip off the line, and mess around with gears until you get the setup you want. You might want to check out HPI's 2-speed tranny for awsome acceleration and top speed. Good luck.
