Is something like a Futaba 3305 or Hitech 345 fast enough for a steering servo on a buggy?

You want about 120+oz.-in. and .15 or better transmit speed. I personally like to get the best servo i can buy as a good servo will last a long time, and be worth the investment. For my buggy i run a 94258 by airtronics it runs 200 oz at .10 transit and costs 85-110 depending on where you get it. I think the best non ebay deal you will find is at www.smfstore.com .

I just bought a Jr 9000s servo for my jammin.
.06 sec transit times and I think 135 oz torque. I haven't raced it yet so we'll see if it holds up.

Jr's = KO, with Horizon for warranty and service - great servo.

Airtronics - cant really go wrong there - until something goes wrong with it. Then the hassles happen - IMHO.

HiTec HSC-5997TG - good servo. strong and fast enough for mist club experts, and backed by the best Repair and Replacement warranty going.

I also here the futabas these days are the shiznit.
