Has anyone tried the RPM two stage shock pistons out? I have a set a friend gave me and was going to try them out. I will be running them in a T3. Any Thoughts???

Well i put them in the Front and I am VERY impressed so far. I compared them before I fitted the second one and WOW what a difference. The return time is twice as fast and the impact is about the same maybe a bit stiffer due to the new oil.
I ran out of oil so I could not do the Rear till tommarrow night.
I am still curious what other people think? From what I have seen I like it so far and I am going to run tommarrow on my way home from work I will post with how they perform!!! :D :D :D

They worked really well in this truck:

I have jumped this truck over 25', landing on asphalt, nice and smooth. I use 40 wt in the rear 4 shocks with the green pistons, and 60 wt. up front with the I forget pistons.

I have put the RPM pistons in my RC10GT. If I like them they will go into my T3. I put the green in the front with 35 wt oil and the red in the rear with 30 wt oil. Haven't tried them yet, but they feel awesome with my new progressive reservoirs!

i'm still running them in my B and T 3's..... they seem to work well... the rougher and faster the track, the more they seem to help...
peace out.... :)

It's just a little project I did a few years back ...
http://www.theshreves.com/rc_stuff/frame_proj_mt.htm
It is just a combination of parts, and a custom built chassis, shock tower, body holders, and other things :p

Well I went out and Ran on the Front Suspention. It worked well I have a Very Rough track right now and it took the bumps much more smoothly and seems to spring back to take the next one a much faster, there for keeping the wheels on the ground more. I am not used to having so much Grip on the track when navigating the bumpy turns and the unstable straight aways. I think that that could be a good thing to get used to though!!! The only down fall I ran into is that with the new inserts it seems that the shock is a bit softer so I bottem out more on the jumps. I use 30wt and I bought 35 today to do the rears. Maybe I will upgrade the fronts as well...
I am still looking for someone that Has used these to hear there input on them. Anyone Out there

SparkyT3 - What colored two stages are you using? You mentioned the 30 wt oil but not which pistons you have. I will be trying out my GT this weekend and will hopefully have some feedback. Then I plan to put them in my T3!

I used the Red inserts. I have run with the 35wt in the back now and that seems to have helped the situation. I am thinking about upgrading the springs though. I noticed that when I tried to take out a spacer in the spring that they did not streach back to there orginal size. Any Ideas?

I got them in an E-Maxx, and me and 2 other racing friend at the track all put them in our T3's. We love them, a much smoother, faster esponse from the shocks. Make note, you may need to use different oil or springs, it will be a different setup, but for the better.
