Since I managed to completely derail the P-94 discussion with a tangent, I thought I would start a new thread for people who geniunely want to discuss it since I recognise there are people who want to talk about it.
This one is for people with an interest in that product, post your speculations here.
I will start another thread about Customer Service.

HauntedMyst, that was pretty cool of you to start this. I apologize for not staying on topic, on the other thread.
That said, I think P-94 will be a rather insignificant evolution of the standard electric motor. Diagonal brushes ?

They pulled the same type of advertising when the Paradox came out. It's just hype is my guess. I hope it's a brushless system though. The more the merrier cause that way they'll eventually lower in price :)

jeep, I'm with you! If it's something that REALLY changes things so greatly, I'll be shocked. I'm sure it's a BK edition D4 with blue magnets and brushes or something. Maybe the P-94 will actually be shaped like Brian himself. His head is the endbell, and the shaft is... nevermind.

haha jeep, diagonal brushes. probably. Maybe they designed a 1 turn... that will change modified racing forever. newcomers will buy it, have it strip out EVERY gear on their car, and never buy a modified motor ever again. see, that will change it, no people running modifieds. then trinity realises that it needs to design a brushless motor, and dubs it "Franceskakinwalddaeaston brushless motor"ahaha

i think it will be a D4 with better magnets and a different label.

yea or it could be a brushless motor.

Do you have to rebuild brushless motors or are they less prone to degenerate in performance?

Oyster !!!!!!!!!!
DUDE, I laughed SO HARD when I read that.
That really struck me as funny. Not sure why :p
I guess I am just into that juvenile humor. My wife yelled upstairs, "What's so **** funny up there !". THAT'S how loud I laughed ;)

I highly doubt it will be a BL motor. If it was BL it would have to come along with a special BL ESC for it, and i doubt Trinity would mess with that.
They did this with the Paradox and the P2K too. I think it will just be a P2K with better cooling, replaceable magnets, matched magnets. Almost everything that is on the D4 and the new D5 will be on the P-94. Cept the modified arm! :)

Man, am I the only one who can see the obvious ???
P-94 designation, radiation symbol - they're making miniature nuclear reactors for R/C Cars!!!! Gone are the days of 3000 mAh batteries and sub-5-minute races. Now, with these little beauties, you'll never need another charger, you'll never dump, and races can go for as long as you like - literally until you're the last man standing. With the added bonus that during night racing your car will glow brightly so you'll never lose track of it again....
Now THAT would change the face of racing forever. And the 3 eyes, 4 noses and 6 fingers......

Yep, that will, of course, be the Brian Kinwald Edition Blue Hazmat Suit. http://www.plauder-smilies.com/sad/scared.gif http://www.plauder-smilies.com/nosmile/atom.gif

Trinity will be making an optional blue anodized zipper kit for that hazmat suit as well. :D

Maybe P-94 Is a new battery that uses plutonium and a small nuclear reaction to create electricity . if so im sure they would have HUGE capacity

Off-topic, but since we are talking about power sources: I wonder is a hydrogen-peroxide/silver power source would be practical? H-Peroxide reacts violently (not explosively though) with silver and expands to 600% original volume. I wonder if you can get the peroxide to be injected into a chamber with silver rods (that can be replaced) and use the resulting reaction to turn a turbine and power a drivetrain? I know at least of one guy using a similar method to shoot himself into space. But he is distilling his own peroxide because the stuff you get at the store is 3% H-Peroxide and 97% water.

Dude, did you just say that someone is going to use silver and Hydrogen Peroxide to launch himself into space?
Interesting, to say the least... :D

nuclear bats and hydrogen would be really cool until some knuckle head slams into the wall and the car goes critical. I can see the mushroom cloud now coming from the entrance of the sweeping turn :D

It's probably a battery. One kilogram of Plutonium is equivalent to about 22 million kilowatt hours of heat energy. Plutonium has a lot of stored energy as will Trinity's new batteries. Can you see the marketing light? Can I get a witness!?
94 = plutonium on the periodic table of elements (symbol is Pu)

From the article out posted:
Since there’ll be no flames shooting out from the rocket, Walker feels there’s less chance of explosion. "The worst that could go wrong is that I’ll come back a blonde."

How about a combo of ideas, plutonium batteries onboard nuclear charger 1 guage gold wires, dual brushless wires and peroxide rockets on a car. And to change history, trinity should sell these kits custom taylored for each car with all connections made with blue anodized non-existant metals which trinity claims were brought down to earth by martians who proclaim that Kinwald is there god. Oh, and top it all off a transmitter that requires no hand controlls because your own brain waves control the car. :D :D :p
