I am going to get some more batteries. But I am not sure, I should get 2400 NICD or 3000 NIMH. I have Millennum chager, so charging should not be a problem. Any comments?

i only race off-road... but i still prefer the 2400's... they seem to just have more punch....even more punch than the Stock Metal 3000's... and yes, i have run both, and i still prefer the 2400's...

peace out... :)

yea and i dont think they would take as long to charge either. if u go with 2400's try and go for the Sanyo cells. they are really good.

the 3000s seem 2 work better on the smaller cars (which need less torque) and the 2400s seem to work on good the big boys and off road trucks

Right now, Stock Metals are by far the only cell to have for the highest level of competition.

Somehing like 17 or 18 of top 20 in stock AND modifield at last weeks ROAR On-road Nat's ran SMH.

Great voltage, super low IR, and tons of runtime. The added runtime is not an issue with stock, but since you have so much runtime, the voltage stays higher, longer. You have more voltage over the course of a race with SMH. You don't use the voltage down so far.....understand what I mean? It is easy to see if you have the means to graph the discharge curve.....

See ya...

CCK, what level of racing are you doing? Are you just club racing locally, just doing stock, or are you wanting to run big-time mod with sub-10 turn motors, or are you doing 8 minute 1/12 scale? What you do will have an impact on which batteries you may be happiest with..... :)

I am not racing right now. I just want to know which battery is more racer are using, then, when I have enough information I can buy it without regret. (cause each of them costs over 70 bucks).

You guys are really help me a lot. Thanks!

I dunno, maybe its just me, but for off-road racing in most cases you don't need to be running those 70 or 100 dollar packs, I'm running 38 dollar Integys that perform very well (2400s) and unless you are an exceptionally good driver, you won't lose a race because you don't have a $100 pack in your car, you'll lose the race because you stuffed a pipe, etc.

So really.. unless you are *REALLY* good, or you have a special application that requires the higher capacity, etc go pick yourself up some 35-40 dollar packs, don't break the bank on the 100 dollar pack.
