Twice in 2 months. I have been using the stock shafts for the Ultima which are steel. I recently saw that Kyosho now makes a lightened top shaft for the Ultima and I think I'll try that one (aluminum or titanium, don't know). But what can be causing it to break? My diff too tight? Spur and pinion too meshed together? Do I tighten the slipper too much? How much is too much?
Also I see that some people make titanium topshafts for associated B3 (stealth tranny). Ultima's and RC/10's are pretty similar i was wondering if i can stich one in my tranny. I know i would have to get a new slipper and spur gear but it would be worth it to stop the parts from breaking. Can anyone tell me what # tooth the top shaft is on a B3?
