ok, the guy at my LHS said that a good stock 27 turn motor could outrun the AE 20 turn that comes with the RTR T3. is this true? and i switched the 20 turn with my Reedy Fire Hawk. my fire hawk revs higher but i dont know if that really matters. i think i'm gonna try my 20 turn at the track next time i go. i know that the Fire Hawk is kinda old, the '96 model but i still wanna know which one would be faster and if the above question is true. thanks for any replies.

What I would do is try both motors at the track and see which one gives me the best lap times. Are you running in the stock or mod class?

well i'm not racing yet. so that doesn't really help me... but i'm thinking of taking my 27 turn Fire Hawk and take a couple winds off of it and make it an 18 or 16 turn motor. is this possible?

a decent stock racing motor like a P-2-K or GM-3 will be quite a bit faster than the RTR's 20 turn motor.... if i were to guess... i would say they would be at least 20% faster...
peace out.... :)
I don't know about AE's 20T, but my P2K is faster than my friend's 20T stinger. (We both have Stampedes, I got P2K and he got stinger).

what about a Reedy Fire Hawk? i tried that out at my track today at it was pretty quick. i'm just not sure what would be quicker since the fire hawk is a bit old. ('96).
