I bought a JR XR2i radio off Ebay, the thing I didnt think about and my question is, if I was going to be able to use this radio with any car or truck?

you can use it with any vehicle as long as the reciever that you have is the same frequency band, such as 75 or 27, and then you have to also have the same frequency crystal.
