I hope that answers all questions and if you want a truck

I own them both and would not think about a losi. For my driving style ae is the best for me. For you it might not be. It is all personal preference. And that is mine.

I couldn't agree with you more. I own an AE B3 and wouldn't trade it for a Losi vehicle any day. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/tongue.gif
I LOVE the XXX that I got in 1999. It runs reliably, and it runs fast.
The assembly instructions were excellent. It is also easy to make adjustments, depending on track conditions.
I've never driven or built an Associated product, but Team Losi wins a lot of Pro events. Don't dismiss the XXX so quickly!

They are both fine cars... so I think you might have to do what I'm going to do before my big order. Flip a coin and just go for it. hehe. AE and Losi are both good companys that make great cars. (and trucks) and, they both have an awesome win record. Both are solid, both are tunable and both can win. One question is availablity. The B3 can be had about anywhere, but some people (tower for one) won't do business with Horizon, so all Losi stuff is going away from Towerhobbies. So.... flip a coin, spend yer money... if it's XXX, you'll love it. If it's B3, you'll love it. Win win.

I've owned about every version of Associated and Losi buggy that they have made over the years.
If I had to say one thing..I'd say that the LOSI products are a little easier to work on and such. Things like the Shock Cartriges, you just buy new ones and screw them on, no need to rebuid the shocks.
Performance wise..I think if you are going to race STOCK, the Associated FTB3 is the way to go. It's a litte lighter from what I understand.
What keeps me comming back to Losi is the fact that...well....I don't realy know.
I had a Associated TEAM CAR..that I dumped for a XX that I never really liked, and then I dropped out of the scene for a while. When it was time for my return...I bought a XXX because it was the newest buggy out there.
But yeah..it's WIN WIN...hehe

Basicly get both! LOL You can't go wrong with either company buggie wise. I had a FT T3 and ditched it for a XXXT..best choice i ever made. I had to make the same choice and i figured why not have the best of both worlds and picked myself up a FT B3. I love my XXXT and B3 and would not trade them for the world and they are not going to be replaced for a long time...wounder just how long i will have em!?! LOL

out of the box the FT is lighter then the xxx, because the losi is comperable to the team version of the b3, however it costs more.
but at club racing its all driver skill.
but the xx sucked. i got a very upgraded one, it was horrible, i got a xxx, and it was amazing the difference.
but the xxx does hold a current advantage over the b3, however the b3 will give you the most bang for the buck.

Hey I love my T3 and I am sure the B3 is alot like it... But I also relly like the xxx but I wouldnt worry about which one you could win with because they are both capable of that! Flip a coin or look for availability!! FT STUFF RULZ for the price and is great for stock racin because they are soo LIGHT!

I agree with Storm here, it does not matter on club level, it is all driver skill, the guy at my track that won every week told me, that he only put graphtite shock towers on, nothing else, he told me to keep it all plastic, I have just replaced the shocktowers, like he told me to(do not worry, stockers broke first)
