? about pro max activator

I posted this question in the general discussion thread and noone answered so i figured id try here.. well here it is:
I saw the review in the april 2000 issue of this charger and it says in there that "the activator will charge ni-cds or nimh packs, but only those up to 2000 mah." Now does that mean i cant charge 2400 or 3000 batteries on there? Any help is appreciated. thanks.and one other thing.... does it really take 32 to 33 mins to charge a pack as was stated in the article?

tell ya this much bro....
my millenium has 3 charge modes...
1. linear
2. reverse pulse
3. nimh

the third type, the nimh mode is NOT used for charging sub-c sized 3000 nimh packs.... it is only used for charging smaller than sub-c cells at only .5 to .8 amps..

the first type, the linear charge mode is used for 3000 nimh packs.. that is the same mode that you would use for regular 1500-2400 ni-cd packs... the only difference on the millenium is that you set the delta peak (voltage threshold) much more sensitive for ni-mh cells than for ni-cd's....

i only say this because the activator charger might only be able to accurately peak charge small nimh cells.. not the sub-c sized cells used to power electic buggies.... but i have not read the review... i might very well be wrong...

the only reason that it says it can only charge a maximum of a 2000 pack is because the larger packs (2400's and 3000's) might overheat the power supply from having a longer charge time... again.. i am just speculating....

and as far as charge time.... it says it has an adjustable charge rate up to 6 amps.... if this is the case, then the higher the charge amperage, the sooner you would get done with the pack... the lower the charge rate, the longer it would take.... it would have a variable charge time depending apon what amp rate you set it at, and how much capacity your battery pack had...

please, correct anything i might have stated wrong above folks...
