NEW Spektrum SR3500 Micro Receiver

Don’t be fooled by the light weight and tiny size. Spektrum’s new SR3500 Micro Receiver is a 3-channel micro surface receiver that provides performance and enhanced reliability that belies its size, which is 1/3 the volume of Spektrum’s previous SR3000.

• High grade components guarantee improved range and frequency accuracy
• New programming lowers latency 1.3ms
• Lower operating voltage
• Integrated low voltage protection capacitors
• Only 1/3 the size of SR3000 receiver

So is this compatible with the regular Spektrum or does it have to be the new Pro series?

I would like to know how we are supposed to bind these new receivers when the binding button is missing? :D

it will probally use a thing like the DX6 plane radio uses, its a little plug that you plug into the BATT channel, and then bind it in the same process as with the button,

So will this receiver work with any previous Spektrum system, with the increased lower latency.. Or is that in conjunction with their newly released High Response type systems for the 3PK.

Does this mean we don't have to use that extra power cap? Cause that would be cool if we didnt, that way its one less plug and one less power cap to find space for.

Is this water-proof?

I just picked one of these up. The picture really doesn't show how small this thing really is. It's the smallest receiver I've ever seen

Just picked up a Spektrum pro kit for my M11 and saw one of these next to it in the display case....all I can say that its just about one of the smallest surface receivers Ive ever seen. Right up there with those tiny KO receivers.

i've used one of these for a couple weeks....... absolutely no problems with it at all....... range seems to be just as good or better than the regular size Spektrum receivers.......

Does this version of the Spektrum RX come with the detachable antenna like many of the original SR3000's do? :D

This one comes with a little jumper that you use to bind it, just like the aircraft Rx.

I'd like to know this as well. I've e-mailed Horizon from Spektrum's website asking about this...hopefully we will hear back soon. Would be great to be able to use these with 4 cell 1/12th and not have to worry about the capacitor.

You won't need the power cap. ;)

I can't seem to get this bugger to bind.. just keeps flashing. I'm installing it on a nitro touring car. I have the bind plug plugged into the B slot and the battery in the A slot with steering and throttle in the S and T spot. I'm trying to bind to my DX3 and not having any luck. Can someone help me out please. And also is the antenna suppost to be only 3 inches long?? My SR3000 antennas were 8 inches long. I bought this brand new off of ebay. Thanks

Antenna is 3 inches on this reciever so your good there.
I would give horizon a call and see if they cant help you out.

you dont need the servos plugged in to bind it, maybe try plugging the battery into a different slot, also make sure your doing it in the correct order, turn the receiver on with the bind plug in, then hold the bind button on the radio and turn it on, then release the button, and once they both stop flashing, unplug the bind plug and it should be good to go, if that doens't work then i would call horizon, they are really good about that stuff,
