I just bought a Duratrax Evader a couple of weeks ago and I want to get into competative racing here at the local track. Im wondering what tools and spare parts I will need to bring to the track and also if someone could recommend a tackle box to use to store parts and tools at the track. Thanks all!

Don't know anything about the Evader, but for starters, you can start by going to the Evader thread. For a tackle box, I like the Stanley mobile workstation. You can put all your tackles boxes in there, chargers, etc... Its real easy to lug around cuz its like a luggage. You can get it at Walmart.

For tools be sure to get a really good set of ball head hex drivers. 99% of the screws on the evader are hex heads.
As for spare parts. The only parts I have broken on mine are the front adn rear arms, and also I have striped out the servo horn.
Hope that helps!

I agree that you will need a set of ball head hex drivers. Also, watch out for the steering linkage stripping your servo gears. I've gone through 3 servo's already and have given up on my evader. I'm currently looking to get a XXT or XXXT rolling chassis to put my evader electronics into to run. Good luck tho.

get a metal gear servo, 3 cheap servos = 40 bucks 1 good metal gear servo = 40 bucks
i dont know the evader either but there must be some sort of servo saver in there....?

I got a lightly used MF2 today. My son is thrilled. I just was not happy with the whole steering geometry of the Evader, but will use the parts I can for back up for the new truck. I had a XXT quite a few years ago that got me into RC and currently also own a Mini LST that is a absolute blast to run. I am getting my son into it slowly so he is really excited about the new truck. I know a few people who could get their Evaders to run, but most had trouble with the steering. I just got tired of messin' with it.
