Guys,

It's still cold up 35 F or so and the water is cold also and my prather lap cat II with K&B 7.5 Outboard seems to be running cold and it's bogging when I throttle back and then trottle up usually around turns.I just bought it used and it has really good commpresion and looks barely used.

If the boat is run wide open and then is brought right to the shore the head is only warm and can be touched without too much discomfort.

When the boat is up and on plane it seems to run nice and drives like it's on rails.

I am using Morgan fuels Omega with 15% nitro and 16% oil which is a synthetic Castor blend. We do not have much of a selection of fuel in my area or I would try different fuels. I can get my hands on some Byron competition fuels which is 25%or 35% nitro with 16 % oil which is a synthetic/castor blend. I have some Bakers castor as well.

The engine starts and idles well

Here are a few thing I have tried so far.

Changed all the fuel lines, cleaned the tank, installed new lines and tank hardware, cleaned the high speed needle and seat.

Tried an o.s. #8, Tried the plug that came with it (which I do not know what it is), Tried an MC-9,Tried and ops 300.
Tried Glow bee Plug.
Tried a Prather 230 and 235 props.
Tried various high speed needle setting at small adjustments at a time.

1)Should the engine run this cool.?
2)Should I try the 25% or 35% nitro(it's very pricey here in Canada) and add 3-4% bakers castor oil to take me to 19-20% overall oil content??

3)Should I just stick with the 15% nitro and mail order some correct plugs and what plugs would you suggest for the 15%.

I had some help and suggestions already but Thought I would start at the beginning and explain things a bit better.
