I have an evader st truck and I upgraded the motor to a "Team Checkpoint Money 19 Turn Spec Motor" I want to upgrade the ESC thats currently in the stock evader st. Right now it has a duratrax sprint esc. What ESC should I get that will give me room to upgrade motors later and that is affordable (about $80)?

Duratrax has some good ESC's for under 80 bucks. There is a ESC that can go down to a 8 turn motor. Check this site out. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAXU0&P=0

Go for a Team Associated LRP Bullet AI. At about $89.99, it is one of the best esc's and I have had mine for about 4 years already. It's easy as hell to setup, you don't need capacitors, and it has no motor limit. I have included a link below for info on it. Once again, I run modified motors in my car, and I recently just put a deans ultra plug on the esc, and so far, I love this esc. I hope this helps.

FYI you're gonna want to upgrade that ESC asap for that motor. I believe the sprint you have is designed for 20+ turn motors. I would agree with mclarenowner4's recommendation and go ahead and pay the extra $10.00 for the LRP Bullet AI because $90.00 for a no-turn limit ESC is a great deal. If the extra price is really too much, then there are a couple of even cheaper ESCs in the LRP AI line including one with a 13 turn limit for only $54.99. They are great ESCs too, but there are no setup options. They are all automatic, so if you want a few more options you could go for the Duratrax ESCs that fifiracing mentioned. Their intellispeed line also has a couple with of ESCs with auto setup, a few more options, and an 8 Turn motor limit for about 80 bucks. :)

Thanks for agreeing with me DMNO242. I am trying to get more people to see that the AI Bullet is one of the best deals. Well, overall, if you don't want to buy an AI, you can go cheaper, as dmno says. But, of course, I bought mine because of the no setup and the simple plug-n-play connection. Oh well, it's really up to you.
