the blast has a rather large heatsink, so i am wondering... if i take it off will anything happen, what should i cover the space where the heatsink has been? will it over heat?

Thanks a BUNCH

Why do you need to, and why would you want to? Doing this will void the warranty(if one) and it will probably not be as cooler running as it was, and it will expose the F.E.T.'s,which get really hot during some runs with motors(not always, but they can be). Do yourself a favor, and leave it on

XXXER is right - when manufacturers put something into a product, it's generally for a reason. If your ESC has a large heatsink, it's there because a small one (or none at all) won't keep it cool (and heat and electronics don't mix well). Remove it and you'll probably burn the ESC out quicker than you can say "What's that smell?". (I just love the smell of burning electronics :) )

If it won't fit where you want it to, you'll have to get one that will I'm afraid.

Thank you Pierre, its just that I was going to try and fit it into a different place, but I will just leave it where it is.
Thanks again
