OK Guys, Thats 2 weeks in a row I got my butt handed to me by cars running my tires. I learned my lesson. It's on this weekend. I'll also be running a Rover (M03) Mini Cooper body(Guess the color scheme). Chris just confirm that now it will be strictly TCS rules. Also Chris, you can put your Mini back the way it was prior to this past weekend. It was more fun for me that way.

Went track testing today, and pretty much all the handling quips were pretty much fixed (short damper springs ftw). This glitching thing however...

Id say 40 is fair. roller, body, and maybe tires.

Im working on final adjustments to the cambers and shocks as we speak. Having difficulty getting them down to the right degrees:confused:lots of tweeking to do. no it doesnt you final ratioip should be around 5.20 or so so get the pinion that it should be around a 33 if it has the 128 pinion on it

Hey Chris, I would love to have that car for carpet. I will have to keep my eyes on it. But with those cars, they go pretty high. The closer it gets to ending the higher it will be. Hey Egg, go to Hayes and get some liquid mask. Spray or brush it on like the instructions say. When it dries then you can draw, score and then peel off the part you want to paint 1st. Remember do the dark colors 1st. It's easy if you keep the paint scheme simple.

Hey Chris, How about we (after finding the lost transponder) mark on the 1st heat printout who received which transponder. Or when they register and pay the transponder rental fee mark down the name and transponder number they receive. Don't fine them for taking it home by accident or they might not return it. Hopefully it will show up Sunday. I don't know how Steve won the last race, every (4) screw holding the spur gear in place fell out during the race. Guess I have to start using thread lock, that was the 2nd time in 3 weeks that its happened. Good luck in Charlotte, see ya Sunday.

If the TC3s are still competitive (I know my driving really never was, but that's beside the point), I may hold off. Those new TCs are looking mighty tempting, though. Is Haye's stocking them or anything for them? Sorry for all the Qs, I'm trying to do some catch up after being out of the loop for a year. From checking out the site, it looks like a lot has changed. If I do go for a new TC, I'll definitely give you first dibs on the TC3. Just got to looking at the new TC5 and JRX-S and got to thinking about it. Hey Chris, I was wondering if we could run the 3200mAh lipos as long as we make the weight of the cars equal to the NiMh batteries. I think it would take the speed advantage of the matched 4200 mAh NiMh batteries and even the fields up some?

Will was warming up the tires, then it started smoking. He yanked the body off and a couple people tried blowing it out. Then it caught fire (flames). It was put out with water (which according to my very limited knowledge of chemistry, couldve made the thing explode right then).

Youre going to have to ask him what all got damaged.

What type of lipo caught on fire? And was the pack discharged at all? Never run a lipo pack down until the car slows to a crawl. This'll mess up the cell chemistry and cause the pack to catch fire the next time it's charged.

Well...I may or may not have convinced a couple people from Winston-Salem to bring their minis. Their rules are a bit different than TCS (they run any stock motor and mini chassis, including those 4wd ones), so I'm thinking we can bend ours a bit if they come.

hey guy's the top plate of my car is factory made for lipo plugin so with that brand of lipo the plugin post where to close together and I DID'NT know that power would travel through carbianfiber so my fault .....

Ohhh, yeah. Carbon/graphite chassis are big on shorting out batteries and also causing glitching and interference. I've seen tons of people have glitching problems because their heat shrink on their battery packs are torn and slightly rubs on the chassis. This causes radio glitching and lose of control of the car. Make sure to super glue edges of battery slots. And round off edges of the top deck where wires will come in contact with or rub against. I'll usually apply a small amount of electrical tape around the top deck where battery wires pass through or under.

Dawg, if you can land gear ratios between 4.5 to 5.5 on your car, you'll be set. I'm not sure how small of a spur and how big of a pinion you can fit on your car. Is your's the tub chassis or carbon plate chassis with the factory team? Can you fit an 88 spur on there? With maybe a 44 pinion. And have pinions 42~46 to tune it to the track. But again, I'm not sure on the clearance of the motor and chassis components. Steve B at the track should beable to help out more. He races the FT TC4.
