What rubber tires are you guys running with your tc3 on an asphault track? I can't seem to get my car hooked up. It slides out in the rear when exiting corners and is really hard to drive. I've tried using Jaco caps and HPI 33r belted tires neither help much. I'm running stock setup, except the rear shocks are on the inner holes, and I'm using red Tamiya springs on the rear shocks. No swaybars. Thanks for the help

If you are running at a local track I would say to try what they are using first - I have been using Losi yellows and HPI 33r's both have had good grip but not great. Also try moving the rear turnbuckle to the inside top hole on the shock tower - it helped for me.

How long would some new Proline V-rage (I think trhere called that) last racing in stock on high grip asphalt?

In general, ProLine's tires just don't last long, at least not when they work. The only ProLine compound that offers enough traction is the S3's(which can be had in V-Rage form), but those only work for a maximum 4-5 runs before they lose grip. They tend to operate just like full-scale racing tires do, they heat up & cool down(heat cycling), & every time they do, they get a bit harder. & if your car isn't set up properly for them, you can even chew them up in one run(I've done it myself)....As for which tires work, it depends on a few things including track temperature. Those HPI 33R's might not work because the track could be too cool right now, but in the summer they may improve(they're meant for higher temps). I can't speak on Jaco tires(never tried them), but I have had good luck with Yokomo's 137M's & 138G's(the 137's front, 138's rear), & the 138GF & GH may also come in handy. If the track is pretty cold, then you should go to a softer tire, like HPI 27R, 23R, or Yok's 136S. And there are also Losi's Yellow compound, but I think they're best suited for higher temps, like in the heat of summer. There are also tires from Sorex & Pit Shimizu, but I'm not sure how well they work on asphalt(& Pit Shimizus are not readily available everywhere, they lost their American distribution). Hope this helps you..... :)

Well a guy with a TC3 at my track is using Jaco caps, but he has so much more power than me he can afford to slide his car around. I'm using the Yokomo sprint firm tires/medium inserts on my TA03 and it works just fine. The wheel nut does not fit on the yokomo wheels so I can't try them on my TC3.
