View Full Version : Advice On a new car
Im mostly a newbie to RC cars. I am looking for advice on what type of a rc car/truck i should buy next. I already have one rc car i've actually had it for a year but I have never got it to work. I bought it off of ebay and since the day it arrived at my house it has never worked right so i've decided to buy a new one. :D
Man that's a big question that your sure to get a variety of answers with. Maybe a few questions to yourself will help -
What racing tracks are local, if you plan to race? What do they race?
Do you prefer off road or on road?
What's your budget?
Just a few ideas -
Losi has some good spec offroad race vehicles now-truck and buggy
touring car racing is the largest on road class now. You have such a huge range of cars in this market that I'm sure plenty of people will advise (warning, it's hard to be objective on this topic)
If you think you might be in this awhile, look into a 3 car memory transmitter.
Monster trucks are one of the few rc vehicles I've had fun with by myself. Buying a touring car to putt around your driveway by yourself will get old quickly. :D

I'd suggest getting an RC that you can just fool around with until you get the feel of RC and to have an idea of how it works. It's what I did. :D
I bought a Team Losi XX-T CR Electric truck off of ebay.
