i was just wondering how much of those pit tips u guys receive . it must be a hell of a lot if u put stuff like put tape behind ur battery cells . I know a lot of others and I gave some of their most secretive tips . I think some are more important than others and should be up before those “ common sense tips ”. Well that ’ s just my opinions . If u do have that much , why don ’ t u make a special on it .

pa_racer - We do receive a lot of pit tips everyday , but the majority are the same old tips . Use Velcro to hold your receiver , use tie - straps to keep wires neat , a magnet makes a great screw holder , blah blah blah . Thanks for noticing that the common sense tips won ' t get in . Hopefully we will be able to use your secret tips . Please send in as many as you want . Remember if we use your tip in the mag you get a 6 month subscription , an OFNA Yo - yo and if we pick your tip as the Top Tip then you ' ll receive a OFNA Rally Car .

ya for newbeies and people who have over locked something those common sense tips can be just what they need to fix . i like the new segment in it Tip of the Month .

but i what i dont like in the pit tips , most every month you have a tip on there for a shock filling stand . and the past 4 months i saw 2 or 3 of those . i think one would be plenty about every 5 months . cause there could be a better tip that isnt being used because of all the shock filling and shock holder ideas .

not being rude if you take it that way i love pit tips that is almost always the first thing i turn to .

I'm just glad the antenna threading pit tips have stopped. Those probably were the most annoying. It's really not that hard to threaad the antenna through the tube.

I was waiting for this one...
"Hi I got a great tip to thread the reciver antenna through the tube. Tie a string to the antenna, then attach to a power wench from a jeep. Hold the antenna tube and turn on the winch. It's easy this way"

The pit tips are good alot of newbies just getting into the sport are so involved with there new found hobby they dont always stop and think "how can i make this easier?" and with a hobby like this can you blame them? Dont worry the further you go into the mag there is lots of tech info for us that have been into the hobby for a while (15yrs). and hey some of the pit tips have been put to good use by me. i know but the antenna tube is dumb, when i first got into r/c i got my rtr rustler home opened it up and spent 10 minutes triing to get the anttena through the tube. its common sence. then it took me 30 seconds after i used my brain. not a smart tip

If you would have read this tip before you spent 10 min tring to fish it thru you would have been on the road that much sooner. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif "Start'em If Ya Got'em"

Lets see what other 'classic' pit tips are out there.

I've seen enough motor holding **** to last me a lifetime
* attach to a pair of pliers with zip straps
* drill hole into wood
* place under cement block).

Make your own 'happy hands'.
* put clips onto bendible wire
* use clothes pins
* get your two younger brothers to hold both wires while you solder.

Parts Trays.
* use a egg carton to hold the small parts.
* use baby food jars
* your mothers silver tea serving set.
