I am putting out the question - is Virtual RC of use to real rc racing or is it something completely unrelated? :D

but if you get a virtual rc can it show you what the handling of a specific car is like?
that all depends on how comprehensive the software is and how well you computer can handle the game at max settings, which would be required to maximize realism.

Virtual RC is a simulation program. Its programmed so that a user can manipulate variables (spring rate, dampening) and the program will create and simulate those variables. How good or accurate is it? It doesn't replace a real life model because a simulator doesn't take into effect 1) nervousness 2) sound distractions,......
Just like any simulator it's a good way to train eye, and hand coordination. Other than that, its basically a game

I am considering getting a USB port and using my old futaba attack radio and receiver
I hope to canvas the views of as many people as possible, the reason being I've only just really started getting into RC, and the tble i share have drivers of over 2 years experiene - thy are all in heat 2 and ordinarily heat 3 (top group). I am looking to get as much practice as possible, and wonder how far this programme would help with practice.

It doesn't take into account the temperature of the track, cleanliness of the track, and other unpredictable things that can occur. It is good to learn how to set up a car, and it can also increase your hand-eye cordination.
