RWD TL01

I want to convert my Tl01 so it just runs RWD. I think i can just remove the front diff, outputs and driveshaft so the front wheels aren't connected. will this work or will it damage the gears in the back.

You pick up a lot of speed that way. I turned mine into a mini-TLO1 w/ a 9-inch wheelbase.

I cut it right where the speed control goes, then cut about an inch out of it. Then braced it back together. Don't have a body yet, but was considering the HPI Audi mini. Everything is mounted at the rear of the car, for more traction.

Racer A- if you want to keep it the same size and quickly make rwd. take out the front dogbones

I like Racer's idea of making it RWD. Taking out the shaft, gears, front diff, and front dogbones would lighten the load significantly! Just don't forget to put a little bit of vinyl or electrical tape over the diff holes up front.

i wanna make ot rwd so i can make a type of an import drag car. I was also thinking of getting 28mm rear Jaco foams and 22mm hpi tires up front, then put in a super fast modified motor, mabey a 7 cell and mount the battery along the chassis at the back. This would, i hope make it do a bit of a wheelie and get wicked speed.

Import drag car??? Is that somethin like "rice"? I was wonderin if i'm on the same page with you... do you mean a tricked out Honda Civic, slung low body, tuned pipe, w/racing decals? like they have in that mag, Import Tuner... if so... thats how are all my ta03s are and my tlo1 :D

no i mean like the ones used in professional import drag racing. big slicks, wheelie bar drag wing etc.
