I'm having trouble with step 2 Rear Arm Assembly (pg. 5) for my TC3 kit. My rear arm rear mount (3863 R+3+2) holes do not line up with the rear arm front mount (3863 R). The two parts don't align so that I can put the two hinge pins in. The rear arm rear mount holes are further out (4-5 mm)than the rear arm front mount holes. Even when I push the rear arms in, the hinge pins don't go into the hole. Not to mention that that would be some serious toe in for the rear arms. Do I have a defective part? Help!!!

i had the same confusion when i built my first tc3....
this is normal
with the back of the car towards you there are those two hinge pin holder thingeys (i cant think of their name :))
with the inner one, insert the inge pins, then the arms, and the put the r+3+2 thingey on. it may be a little hard to do, just dont bend it!
them you hold both thingeys and set the inner one on the chassis and the outer one (R+3+2) on the bumper mount and that should be it
hope ive sorta helped :p

Chizzler is right, that's normal. These parts give the car it's default rear toe-in angle. To change the toe-in, you can buy optional parts. Best to stay with the default to start with.
I agree it looks weird, but it's correct. It'll work.

yep dont worry about it... just put the first hinge pin mount thingy on, then slide the hinge pins in with the A-arms and then the rear hinge pin thingy.
BTW... good choice in going with the TC3!! you will love it.... whats ur set-up? radio, ESC, motor.. the whole set-up.. just curious. good luck.

Hey guys thanks for all the help. I'll keep messing with it later on this afternoon and I'll let you know how I made out. TC3Racer, I'm running a Futaba Junior, LRP F1, P2K, Maxx Paxx, and a Intellipeak Digital. That's all my budget could afford. Any suggestions on future mods? Thanks again!!!

ya know, first time I took mine apart (bought it used) I did the same thing, only I was trying to stick the hinge pins in the wrong holes. I was trying to stuff em in the screw mount holes. Just rotate the piece and see if that helps.

It just took a little muscle to get it in. I just wanted to be careful and not break anything. The car is almost done just a couple more steps. I'll keep you informed.
P.S. I wish I purchased those allen keys with handles. They would have saved me time, sanity, and my hands.
