Hey, does any type of racing exist where people race "classic" or older cars like from the early 90s or even late 80s. I think it would be a fun class if it existed. Im sure many peolple have older cars that just sit around. I have a Kyosho MK-II stinger that someone gave to me that could run w/ little work. Just saying this would be a fun class for electrics and nitros.

I guess that would be fun. But I'm also guessing that people might not want to race their classis cars because of parts availability.

I'd like to see, even race in a "Vintage" RC race.... but maybe that is because I am Vintage myself. I started racing RC cars in 1981. It's amazing how far the RC car industry has come!

Im sure if races like this exist people would take it more easy on the cars b/c of that parts reason. The stinger only needs a gas tank and the spur is messed up.

It would be cool if some tracks did a Tamiya retro class with all the new re-releases Tamiya has been doing. A bunch of bone stock Grasshoppers would probably be really fun to watch and also be really competative.

Twism, almost any 75cc fuel tank should work and I think I might have an extra steel spur for my Stinger if you want one. Sandmaster gears will work with a slight mod and I think a lot of the spider series cars share diff parts with the stinger/opyima/javelin.

Thanks, the gas tank is all thats missing. I just need to find a way to start the engine w/o a starter box cuz it has no pull start. Ive came up with a way involving a hex screw that is coming off a shaft from the back plate that i can put a drill to to start and pull it away fast but i havent spent much time yet saying i havent got servos working cuz im down a receiver. Does anyone know that style plug is on servos that looks like standard futaba but a little wider so it wont fit, and has 3 grooves by each wire plug part?
