Well i got out to the bmx track early being quite excited to be bashing with other people and the mt's they own, and i get there second a guy with a lst2 was there. Sweet truck anyway i decide to wait before one of the guys i know turn up. He gets there his name is Russell he is from the lhs i go to. I say hello everyone starts up their cars and i sit down for a while just watching. Anyway i decided to start up my car and have a go and i took it on the back staright behind the track and behind the grandstand. It was running way to lean and ouldn't wheelie or change gears as a result. Russell helped me by tuning it really well and it flys it wheelies and everything and changes gears thank god. After he does that he takes me over to a burm and shows me how to jump it because i am still getting used to driving it because it is allot different to my buggy. I jumped up the burm a few times bla bla and russel showed me the panic rev same as a mx bike i should have known. Anyway he goes to start up his revo and i stay jumping of the burm then all of a sudden it leans out real bad and stalls. Well it turned out to be an air leak and the carb was loose. NO WORRIES, yeah right russell tried to tighten the carb up with that pin that goes through the back and the head of the screw snapped of with barely any pressure and no one has a part that will fit. I ring the only shop that was open on the coast on sundays hoping he will have a part but no he doesn't stock hpi. So 30 mins tuning 30 seconds running I mean it is so annoying that a 2 dollar screw ruined my day if i had the screw it still wouldn't of been ok because i didn't have the housing for it and the other screw was stuck inside. Oh well i will try to get a part to fit. Does anyone know if a force engine carb retainer screw will fit my nitro star .25 russell said it might he isn't sure though. Sorry for the rant i was just majorly dissapointed.

Well, actually, it sounds like you did a lot more than 30 seconds of driving (from all the jumping and whatnot that you said you did). Plus, you learned a lot from this friend of yours, got to watch other drivers fool around and see how they tune their cars and attack jumps.

Next time, you'll be better able to tune your truck yourself, you will be a lot more confident, and you will have some new issues to watch out for in the future.

So stop complaining! :p

LOL fluke. Oh and mook i wish i could have taken my buggy to have a go it would have been sweet there but the mid speed needle fell out while i was driving it a few weeks ago and i ordered the parts but they have not come in. The good news is my savage was dropped into the shop today and if the part did not come in for it they were going to take it out of another engine they had for sale and russel is going to fix it on his day off tommorow and i will have it by wednesday and we are going back there on sunday. Should be good
