OK, I just bought this thing, built it, and I already have a problem. The slipper clutch slips WAY too much. I have tightened it as far as it goes, but to no avail. The truck is sweet and I can't wait to race it, but i just can't get it to hook up. Any suggestions?

Check the DIFF!!!!!
If it makes a loud sound it's the diff. Hold the wheels and give it throttle. If the slipper nut is spinning the diff is slipping. If the gear spins then maybe the slipper was assembled wrong. Also if you didn't glue the tires they might be spinning on the rims.
Good luck!

I don't know anything about the T3 but I have an AE RC12L3 and had the problem of a slipping diff. First thing I'd check is to make sure that any beveled washers (I don't know if there are any) are installed in the correct direction. Second is to throw away any plastic nuts that hold the on the wheels. The plastic nuts don't work. Go to your local hardware store and pick up some metal nuts with the hexloc stuff. That fixed my problem! Hope some of this helps.

So have you had a chance to race it yet Ben? I bought the FT T3 about 2 weeks ago and love it!!! So far the only changes I have made were to the tires ( I put PL Holeshot T's on the rear) and to the front springs (Silver up front). It seems to handle a ton better with the different springs up front, as I was having trouble with the stock setup being too soft and the rear liked to come up and over in mid air.

What's up, Wildeman?
No, I haven't raced the truck yet. Unfortunately, there is only on-road tracks in my city. the only off-road tracks are about 1 hour away. They have sanctioned racing there. I've never raced before, but I would travel down there if I thought I stood a chance. What tips do you have for me for racing? motor? servo? etc etc...
