I am thinking about trying to convert my pede into a cheap racer. I am new to racing but I already have a T3. I want to convert my Pede into a cheap racer. I will put some smaller tires on it and modify it to fit a standard T3 body. Would this be enought to race it? The local track is a small with tight turns. Would the still high center of gravity affect it that much? I am not going to buy all the peices to convert it into a rustler just enought to make it look like a racer. Any sugestions? I just want a second racer to take friends and introduce them to the hobby so being the best truck is not a consern they will be new to it anyway, but the truck how it is now is usless on the track flips way to easy.

i would suggest getting a ruslter chassis and maybe doing a conversion. however the most important thing is tires. just make sure the tires and shocks are set up right, and if it still traction rolls, get rid of some ride high. but if that still doesnt work, just leave it as a off track machine and then let your friends try it jumping or something, where it is at its best.

Lower the ride height on the pede and change the tires. That should give you enough of a starting point to get it on the track anyway. Take a few laps and see what else is needed. Remeber to only change one thing at a time so you know what is causing the effect. You should be able to whip that baby into racing shape in no time. Good luck in your recruiting! :D

What I did when I had mine was I used strapping tape to strap the battery to the underside of the chassis. Them I mounted the receiver and speed control in the battery tub. That worked very well to lower the ceter of gravity.

Thanks alot and I have thought about stapping the batt on the underside. I will try some of those things and see how it works. I am gonna go to the track today if my gf will go with me. I got to be nice today race day is tomorrow.

Actually to convert it to a rustler is not hard, I looked at 1 one day and it looked exactly the same just with a different, main chasis. Actually you can probably goto Traxxas's website and look at both the trucks and the chasis's and see for your self. And Jonboy whats your location, you sound kinda familiar?
