Well lets see here
hands down the most powerful
Novarossi 528X but thats an expensive engine that is not really savvy friendly.
The next thing would be a Mach 26 or the Sport werks 26.
They are both really really good engine's for the price and make tons of power.
The new Mach 28 is a good choice also It's about the same as the Mach 26 just has a little smoother power band.

Tough to find a good engine at $150. Most decent engines are $200+

I would save my pennies and get one of these

DO NOT GET a regular WASP 28, or Peak Diablo 28 or Fantom 27, (junk)
The New wasp "PRO" is ok, (picco based).

jeez guys, you can find picco .27's on Ebay for like 170 brand new, and I would take that over the wasp .28 anyday!

Hmm... Will a Sirio .27 beat a Wasp?
I just got one and I heard a guy I bash with ordered a Wasp...
It'd be great to keep my Sirio in hiding until his Wasp gets here :D

I don't know if they've solved their rod probs or not. I was getting ready to buy an STS28 off Ebay and found a forum full of broken rod stories on both STS and SH28s. Lots were breaking right around 1gal and trashing engine by going out the block too. Other than that, they seemed ok.

My Axial 32 gets here tomorrow - it was the same price I paid for my 27 Picco, $180. With the dyno tests I've seen on it, that should prove to be a bargain.

Cheapest I've seen 28Picco has been $200.

Picco 28 or OS 30? what do you RC'ers think is faster (for the Savage)?
