what could i buy a lot of and then sell like indiviually? im thinking of looking through ebay and finding like 500 golf balls for sale and then selling them by the dozen or w/e
what do you think?
ps...i can't mow lawns b/c all the neighbors hired the mexi's, can't work for my parents
thanks!!

as a mexi myself, i'd suggest waiting and saving to go to college to get your bachelors or masters degree. then play when you have the excess income to support it.
based on your GPA and financial need there are plenty of grants and scholarships out there to nearly pay for it all. even have excess loans to help with housing, which you can in turn use for recreation.
at 14 you would have to plan accordingly and have your guardians get involved on the combination of loan options.
the only way to make easy money is to get the government to pay for it.

get a xbox 360 pro. then sell it on ebay,Those go one ebay for 500-800 bucks. You could just do that a couple of times. You would have about 1000 bucks after 3-4 times.

i was thinkin of that, i could have like 6 360's by now, but my f*ckin madre didn't approve of it, they're like 400 new and i was watching them sell on ebay for upwards of $700
i do have a huge ***** 'collection' of baseball cards, i could prolly sell them all for like $50,000
mayeb ill look through those tonight and find like 100 cards to sell to make about a grand, and i know that i have a barry bonds and mark mcguire rookie card somewere in the boxes
think that hobby town would allow me to stay in after hours to clean the place up? i'd definetly be willing to do that :D

Hobbytown has a policy that says you have to be 16 to work there. The best way to make money is to see if one of your mom's friends or something needs some stuff done around the house(oddjobs), and have her tell her friends. Soon you will have stuff to do whether it be painting windows or cleaning floors. I even helped rip up carpet one time, and got 8 bucks an hour.

lol, there's an idea, get all the little sugar addicts to pay you $ to keep them going
think i could take like 30 feet of ducktape and make something out of it and sell it for anything on ebay?
how much you think i could part out like a used t maxx or used savage for?
b/c i could get those for like $100 and maybe sell everything in it for $300

The Sanford and Son of RC on ebay ....
http://stores.ebay.com/HOBBY-MAGIC
Guy buys a bunch of cRAP off other ebay member .. prolly takes stuff in on consignment or pawn .. cleans it - sprays it WD40 - calls it checked and lubricated ... LOL, then laughs all the way to the bank .....
http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewListedItems&userid=dr350z&sort=3&page=7&rows=50&since=30&rdir=0
30 days worth of auctions .... 7 pages x 48 = 336 auctions ....
48 auction totalling approx $1,858.50 = avg of $40 per auction on just one page.
336 x $40 = $13,440 Gross income .... add a 2-3 profit on each one for shipping rip off, subtract ebay fees, and aquisition costs .... tidy little JUNK business.

Right now though I have plenty of money from my b-day. I just ordered a FT B4 and will soon be ordering some new batteries. Cant wait untill this summer so I can get a job though.

i have like $800 sitting in the bank, and after i get my report card (with all A's) ill have over 1000, but i love $ so im trying to save up so that i always have extra money, instead of having 500 and then being broke... catch my drift?
i live in the suburbs of chicago (in st charles) and there's nowhere for 14 year olds to work, unless we mow lawns
well i found out that one of my friends is starting work when there's like a week of summer left, that's the earliest he could start, and my other friend has some kinda architecture assistant job and the guy can only hire 1 person, and he was the 1
maybe ill convince my parents to give me allowance :)

How much profit is there is u parted out an ok cond. tmaxx that u bought 4 like 200 bucks. I have thought of doing this but not sure if i would get any profit?

i think you'd have to part out a newer truck, like savage x or something else that is completely redesigned, b/c idk how many people are looking for t maxx parts
know what i mean?
or you could buy a cheap t maxx (or w/e), clean it up really nice and sel it for more
but if you actually sold every part on the t maxx, you bought it for 200, you might make a 50-75 dollar profit, including having to pay to run the ad on ebay and w/e

ebay and paypal really cuts into ones profits, that with the already high competition on ebay for the hobby dollar its hard to get into, there are however lots of tmaxx buyers out there..!
i like the candybar idea.... i wish i would have thought of that when i was that age..... start saving 10 cents on every dollar you handle for good, i mean dont touch it then when you start working put that money into a retirement account...!
just my 2 cents

well, this one guy has like 10 revos parting out right now, based on the items that hae been bid on the avg that he gets per truck is about 375, so if you could take a used revo and clean each part up really nice you could make some pretty big profits

I actually have a tmaxx rolling chassis. I might part it out on ebay just to see what i get 4 it. I think i payed like 60 4 it then added a chassis plate.

Yeah the candy bar idea was great. I was raking in money. The only reason i stopped was bcuz my bus driver got sick of all the excess trash and the kids on my bus were not the kind that i could just say "throw it away" and they would do it.
white sox1
03-29-2006, 07:53 PM
yeah, you could part out the chassis for probably 200+

When I was 12 I started working at a Dominoes store. My job was "doorhanging". They just gave me the coupons and drove me to a certain area where they delivered, all I had to do was walk from house to house and put the coupons on the doors. After I was done I would call them and they would pick me up. It was a good job, it kept me in shape and I made minimum wage. Everyday I would do a different area of the map.

i do have a huge ***** 'collection' of baseball cards, i could prolly sell them all for like $50,000
Bwahahahah!!! My neighbor thought that. Mind you we're 27, and he had a lot of cards that he thought were really valuable. Problem is they were valuable when they were hard to find, now that they're all on ebay the price dropped. We couldn't even get 10 bucks for cards he thought ought to be worth a lot more.
Anyway those cards might not be worth what you think. Far as easy money, its an oxymoron. Getting money for your grades is easy money. But really if a job doesn't exist, you need to come up with something. If candybars create trash, sell cookies or something without a wrapper. In junior high I knew a kid who sold condoms that he got for free from the health clinic. It was such a novelty in junior high that a lot of kids bought them just so they could brag to their friends.
But if you don't come up with anything, you'll follow a common pattern of people who get out of RC during high school and college. Then after college you can get back into it like crazy. I didn't have an rc car for about 9 years, now I have 3. Anyway I get that you want to drive now, so just keep working on ideas to make money.

Not sure if you are the type, but back in the day, I used to offer 'educational' services in exchange for money..term papers, resumes, etc. That's another way to make a buck.
