View Full Version : Trailers
i just wondered...is there anybody out there willing to make a trailer for carrying stuff on?.. i just had this thought of pulling up to the trackside with a savage, pulling a trailer with the race car on the back..
or has anyone been able to drop on plans to make one? or even does anybody have any ideas to make one?..the only problem i have at the moment is how to attach the wheels so the can still trun and have suspension? any ideas?
thanks

I have made several for folks here locally. I used a large piece of lexan as the base so i could paint the bottom and still have it look shiny and made the side rails out of t-6 aluminum... To attach them both times i used rivets for a flush look...... I used 26mm tires for the back end .. I also used axles from my roller TC3 .. I used 2 sets to give it a better look and to handle the car on the trailer better ..... I matched the rims to that from the trucks that would be pulling the trailer as best i could..... The hitch proved to be the hardest part for me .... Because the trucks are all different ... But i have gone as far as to set up a complete rear electronics for the rear so the ramp lowers and raises from a remote ... its really all about experimentation ... It can be done .... and if i knew where my pics of any of them were I would be happy to give you a visual if you needed one... I hope this helped ya out ......... LMK if i can help ya out any further... Big V

L-Bracket T-6 aluminum for the axle housing and use the wheel set up for an onroad sedan.... Thats what I used ... not really anything in the suspention part of things... Take a good look at some trailers in your area and basically put together a drawing based on those ..... Then scale it down for your size of car or what have you that you wish to pull.... Like i said before i used mine for my TC3 when i went to the track to race my bike... before time shots started i used to run my TC3 (set up to be a drag car ) at my local track..... Lots of fun to see a matched E-pede pulling a TC3 into my parking stall ... the guys there loved it .... Just experiment .. everythign you need can be found at most any hardware store..... and the cost (less electronics if you go that way) are under 50 bucks... Best of luck... and LMK how ya make out ..... BDV
