first the soldering question, i can get the sodler to stick the postive side tab on my speed gems 2 i mean it will stay but when i put the wire in it it stick to the wire and no solder on the tab????and my second ? is my pinin(15 t) on my rustler wont stay on for anything, what could be wrong????????

just use loc-tight on the pinion set screw.....

Are you using Rosin core solder? And are you tinning the wire itself 2? Maybe the hole is stripped, before you buy a new one use loctite hope this help :)

It is a good idea to "rough up" the motor tabs with a file, and pre-tin the tab, before soldering a wire onto it.
As for your pinion, make sure you are getting it on the flat spot on the armerature, use a good allen wrench, that is not stripped.
You should not have to use loc-tite, but you may have to.
