Guys,
Got a tamiya truck with metallic finish body. However I want to cover it with paint, as shown on first paragraph HERE (http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=56316).
If helps, tamiya suggest these paints to apply over the body:
TS-47 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXRS77&P=7)
TS-49 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXRS79&P=7)
TS-53 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDCF3&P=7)
TS-74 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJJB7&P=7)
etc.
How should I proceed to apply the new paint over metallic scheme (over the body only)? Any special preparation? Any tips?
I had applied wax over the body. How to remove it without damadge the metallic paint and not affect the application of new paint colors?
Thanks.

Hmmm...kinda tricky there. I'd suggest cleaning the body with windex. Chances are, the paint put on there by Tamiya won't be eaten away by a thorough wiping with windex. Once wiped down and thoroughly cleaned with Windex, wipe it down again with rubbing alcohol to remove any impurities left behind by the window cleaner.
For paints, you can go with the suggested Tamiya paints. All of them listed are clear, so they are semi-transparent. Laying this type of paint over metallic flake will give a great finish. However, you don't have to limit yourself to Tamiya paints. You can achieve the same effect with transparent paints from Pactra, or use the candies from Faskolor or Spazstix. The key there is transparent paint.
BTW, awesome looking truck!! Does it come with a trailer? If so, you could back a 18th scale car out of it with a Knight Rider theme song playing in the background.

Piggy89373 = thanks for take your time to help me out on that. Never painted over acrylic/styrene and therefore have no clue on how to proceed.
You words encouraged me to try to paint over the metallic body. Have you ever saw any pic that could give me an idea about how the final result could be?
The truck does not come with a trailer, it has to be purchased separately. A nice review about this kind of RC was done
HERE (http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/article_display.cfm?article_id=410).
