wel i bin thinking (and dats not good) and have a new project. its gunna be savage front and rear axles, but be scale so that the wheels are inside the wheel wells. this equates to massively big. as you can see in the pics it is next to my savage 21. its gunna have a savage gearbox, and two engines. the chassis so far is only a paper mock up until i get a slab of aluminium to work with :D its hopefully gunna end up as a dakar type rally car, with hopefully and land rover type design. will take me a while as i need to get the bits over time, but so far i have a hopeful rear axle on ebay.

I dont think the paper will be able to support the weight of all the components. I am also not too sure of the durability of the truck once this modification is done.

personally id recommend cardboard prolly 2x as strong as paper but dunno may still be weaker than stock......... :D

i dunno if you guys are teasing me  but its gunna be made out of 2mm aluminium. the chassis in the pic is one i made yesterday to check out measurements and angles.

Dudes it is in r n d it is not gunna be a paper truck, this is just for us to get the layout of the idea which i think will be a sweet one but just a suggestion try tuning 2 engines and all that it will be hard y not get one of those 23 cc zenoa engines?
I like the idea of the paper mock up for the chassis.
looks good

I don't think 2mm will be thick enough for the chassis, 5mm would be more like it. 2 engines will twist a 2 mm chassis.

lol. :D
they are just kidding spannerboy. But I'm impressed, you did a good presentation of your idea. So, thats the true scale version of the tub/buggy chassis you are planning to fabricate?

its not a scale design, but the underside is pretty scale. its about 1/4 scale, and it looks very big on the floor when i put the tyres in the right places. lol i can imagine the faces of some dudes talking bout their 1/6th monsters, and i introduce mine. i dont know much about 23cc engines, but i know quite alot about 21. to 25. engines, and i love the sound of two engine in perfect unison. the tuning, you fire one up, tune it, shut it down, do the other, then start up the first one again and your done. will take a while though, i dont have much money, so it will probable have monthly installments of parts like axles, gearboxes. will keep you updated, should get some aluminuim this weekend sometime.
