need help with new esc!

I just got a new hara twister 2.1, its based on the kopropo vfs esc's. and when i went to set it up i connected the motor, and when you set the "standard" it said not to, but i missed it. and i got to the last step and finished. but i reallized it said not to conect the motor. so i disconnected it and redid the program thing. is my esc ok since the first time i set the "standard" i had the motor connected? it seems to work fine but it said the light should blink once at neuteral, twice at full throttle, and 3 times at full brake. but it stays on at nuteral and off at full throttle. But when i took it on the street it seemed to work ok. Pleade help me i hope i did not ruin my new 130.00 esc.

I would say no, most instructions say not to hook up motor. This could be some assume you have motor installed with pinion etc which would lead to vehicle getting out of control. Setup step sounds similar to the Quantum esc, light changes with each setup step, neutral- throttle-brake with light changing colors (red/green) and being red to show setup is complete when unit is one to diferent shades of green for throttle. Normally if error is made you disconnect the battery, wait 10-15 seconds the restart the setup.
