I feel pretty stupid for askin this, but can u break an esc in a crash? i think i busted mine (novak explorer) in a crash, i hit a log and didn't break a suspension arm or ne thing but my car stoped moving. I can't get power to the car for some reason

Check your motor for a broken magnet, or if you have a spare, see if it will power it. check your motor for debris, and, like i said, a broken magnet, or, a hung brush. If you get power to the servo, then your ESC is most likely working properly, and it is either your wire connections, or your motor.

look to see if the led in the esc is on when you have a fresh battery in it. I think if it is just sitting it should be red. Then if you make it full thortle the light should turn green. (thats what my novaks do...) If the led comes on, then the esc isnt the problem. Also check the wires going to the motor to see if they are still conected.

I have the same esc. Open it up and see if all the wires are still connected, The white one poped off mine in a flip.
